Christians, why is it that you claim God answers prayer when it's convenient?

But when it's inconvenient, claim that God won't intervene with our free will?

Update:

Jack - yeah, like when cancer patients pray to be cured and they die?

Update 2:

Annie - do you really think that was an answer? Anyone can see you're clearly unable to answer the question and are avoiding it with ad hominems.

God has the entire Earth to maintain- He cannot be bothered with Earthly wishes and desires, but He always listens. Sometimes He acts in ways that we cannot fathom to understand, and that's when we must have faith in God and Jesus.

And also, I have APL (acute promelocytic leukemia) and the entire congregation at church prayed for me when I was going through a really tough relapse. I haven't had a relapse in three years- God was listening, God had mercy, and God wants me to live.

God does answer prayer. Often the answer is No.

This life is temporal and in comparison to eternity is little more than the blink of an eye. God is concerned with where your heart is and your spiritual life while man and especially unrepentant man is more concerned with the physical world.

it truly is way less annoying for a camel to flow through an eye fixed of a needle than it truly is for a wealthy guy to enter the dominion of heaven. If even ONE toddler contained in the international is hungry, so shall it really is! money is a fictitious pillar that stands. There are those who marry the convenience gadget.

A priest once said this to me:

    "God never says no.

    God either says:

Yes you can have it now,

Yes but you have to wait for it, or

    I have some better."

From this we can see that God might not give us a stone to eat even if we ask for it, but God loves us enough to bless us in the future or in the next life if we continue in faith and overcome in hard times.

actually God HIMSELF says he will not answer prayers under several conditions.

i know there have been times my prayers were not answered.

then again, i can testify of miracles that happened even as i prayed.

10 Remember that without faith you can do nothing; therefore ask in faith. Trifle not with these things; do not ask for that which you ought not.

    D&C 88: 65

65 And if ye ask anything that is not expedient for you, it shall turn unto your condemnation.

  • Free will is basically deciding if you are with Him or against Him. Now, if you decide you are on His side, you will allow God to guide you on your way thru life, that you TRUST Him. When we pray it doesn't mean we know what's best. We do not see things as how God does.

Your lack of the understanding of faith is just , well, sad, but then again, MOST people share that trait.. Convenience has nothing to do with it.. Faith has everything !!

and NO I will not explain further !!

God answers all prayers. Judgment Day is coming. Please give your heart to Christ. It doesn't matter how many times you have sinned, if you have never really been religious; Jesus loves you and accepts you. It's never too late to accept Him. God bless you, have a nice day!
