atheists, does this version of creation make more sense than the actual one ?

please take a minute to read, this is NOT a conversion attempt or bible verse spam.


there was once nothing in the world but two brothers, a good and an evil one.
the evil one was lazy but the good one started to make a universe and a special planet with two humans on it who lived in a perfect paradise. there was supposed to be no negativeness in the world and the humans were supposed to spread over the universe and prosper. the good brother didn't ask anything of them. he just wanted to make them happy.
but the evil brother was jealous of the creation and started picking a fight, destroying his good brother in the process.
then he came down to earth, commanding the two initial humans to worship and serve him.
he created a special tree and forbid them to eat from it. at the same time, he created a demon in order to lure them into eating from it so he could throw them out of paradise and make them think it was their own fault. then he created a burning pit of torture for those who might stop doing everything he says.
then he proceeded to make their life quite miserable and watched their descendants kill each other for his own entertainment, sending the occasional plague to spice it up.


does this make more sense than the actual creation story ?

But no, it doesn't really make sense. If I thought another religion made sense I wouldn't be atheist.

In the context of reality, no.

As mythology, I don't see any reason to assume that the evil one wasn't behind the creation of the Earth to begin with, with the intent on tormenting his creations.  Kind of like a sadistic child burning ants with a magnifying glass.
