Do all korean men have to join the army once in their lifetime?
I just noticed some kpop artist are leaving their group for awhile to join the army like some members from super junior! I was wondering if it was required for them to join?? And what other artist had to leave to do some army service? I know some member of super juniors had to leave and so did one of the t-max member did to

Yes military service in South Korea for men is mandatory unless one can't do it.. So if they're disabled or something like that. Some people have even tried to injure themselves to put it off.
They need to do it between the ages of 18 and 35.
I think it's 2 or 3 years?
Anyway all artists will do it/ have done it so there's no point in making a list.

Yes all Korean men even permanent resident's in other countries must go to the armies. Unless if there injured and cannot join like for example a mental illness or if there isn't enough space for them (like someone I know) but that wouldn't happen a lot today. Every men must serve in the military for 3 years between the age of 18-35
