Why does everyone hate youths?

I don't hate youth. In fact, I try to work with them every opportunity I get. They are our future. Many adults don't have the patience or tools to work with them anymore. Financial reasons, culture reasons, even just not knowing or understanding can cause this great expanse between adults and youth. But not everyone is like that. I enjoy them and they give me a sense of livelihood. Without them my life would be boring and difficult. Instead they add color, purpose and accomplishment every time I'm able to help. Saying you don't like youth means you must have not liked yourself at that age because although youth use different verbiage now, it is still the same heart, soul and minds as in the older days.

By the way I love my teens I have three of them at home and they are all fun to talk with, teach, be around and a joy to raise along with all their friends that bless my house.

I remember reading once that there was a quote found on an ancient tablet that said the youth at the time were so rude and poorly behaved, that surely it was a sign of the end of days. It made me laugh because it shows that all through out history, old people and young people just don;t seem to get along.

From my experience, I think there's just a huge disconnect between old people and young people. A lot of older folks tend to forget that they were much the same way when they were young and thought they had the world all figured out. They had the same sense of entitlement and the same smugness that the youth of today has. They also tend to generalize and remember the worst experiences they've had with youths, forgetting the ones that have held doors, helped them get something off the shelves, etc. Many young people think that old people are rude, annoying, self-entitled, mean, grouchy, and bitter. They come off as pessimistic. In other words, both groups only seem to see the worst in each other while ignoring the best.

I'm 23 and I think ppl hate youths because they are irresponsible and most just ask for brand clothes and gadgets that are ONLY in trend and aren't even satisfied with Kmart and Walmart brands

Youths are so immature and think they know better than everyone

As annoying as those terms are, they aren't the problem. It is the sense of entitlement that most teens express that grinds their gears. Also, the 'i want it now' attitude doesn't help. Basically, rude, disrespectful, thankless attitudes get them nowhere.

Obnoxious, entitled, disrespectful know-it-all morons. You'll hate youths too when you are an adult.
