Bath and Body Works Interview on Friday: What should I wear?
I have an interview with Bath and Body Works on Friday and I am not really nervous. When I turned in my application, the store manager seemed really impressed that I have previous experience in a retail setting ( I worked at J.Crew). However, I am not always really sure what to wear to retail interviews. I am thinking about wearing an open cardigan with black pants, simple black flats, and some light jewelry. Is this a good outfit, or should I wear something else? Thanks!

I have loads of retail experience and have been on tons of interviews. Your outfit will totally work. I always wear pants to interviews instead of skirts because I want them to focus on me, not my legs.
Could I give you a few tips? Don't wear a strong perfume or body spray. Consider heels in place of flats at least for the interview. They don't have to be sky-high but a 3 inch pump will do wonders and create a nice long lean line with your pants and will look smart. Pants with a flared full-length leg look much better and professional than skinny or tapered leg pants. They should be long enough to rest on the floor with your shoes on. Pay attention to your nails. Have them painted or wear acrylics for a classy and polished look. Most people never think of their nails when interviewing but it's important!
BTW, the girls at my local B&BW usually wear black pants and a black top and almost always wear heels.
Love the cardi idea and light jewelry!

Sounds like a good enough outfit for me! Outfits are obviously very important in job interviews but don't overthink it. Just make sure everything is clean and pressed, color coordinated, and make sure not to show anything you shouldn't (cleavage, shoulders, stomach, anything above the knee, and toes).
Black flats are the perfect shoe :) Casual but classy, and follows the no toe rule.
Black pants are another great choice; I personally think pants are the best thing to wear to any type of interview and black is great color to wear because it looks so professional, even if it isn't a super professional job.
Cardigans are one of my favorite items of clothes, just pair with a simple (preferably solid colored) top! Solid colored also makes you look more professional and makes the jewelry stand out!
Good luck! :)
