do darlington pairs come in a single package?

as in, a single chip with two matched transistors inside that can be heatsinked.

if so, what is it?

    yes.

    motorola makes a wide range of them. look for transistors with MJE and MPS prefixes. darlington transistors have only 3 terminals, so they look and act like normal bipolar transistors. if you are looking for matched pair transistors, then that is a different category.
