Fellow Christians, how often do you see this scripture borne out on YA R&S every day?
"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."
And does your heart ache that our atheist board members cannot comprehend?

My heart aches almost to the point of breaking. We serve a kind, compassionate and patient God yet He has clearly indicated that the time will come when we will all have to account for our beliefs. I feel I'm ready to be accountable even if Jesus returned today.
Sadly at any time those who make ignorant demeaning and utterly blasphamous statements could perish through an accident or for a sudden health crisis. Then it will be too late. I think of the parents who have taught their children to not believe. Do they know the harm they are doing to their kids "as loving parents"?
We see much of what scripture says will be happening during the end times when we read the majority of the comments on R&S. For me, this confirms the accuracy of bible prophecy. The tock is ticking and it will soon strike the midnight hour and the foolishness will perish by their own words and deeds. That is heart breaking.

I prayed to the lord and asked him the truth and he showed me.
I prayed to the lord to show me the path to enlightenment and he showed me.
I asked the lord if what I was doing was good and just. And he said yes my child, you have been a good person. You have carried the burden of the cross long enough. It is time you rested, for he is merciful and righteous.
The lord let me rest for awhile, then when I awoke, he gently took my hand and led me to a fence. He told me the path to the truth is just beyond this fence. He told me to go and awaken others for I have finally reached a level of higher understanding that only a few are brave enough to know exists, but more will soon know. That once I climbed that fence, I would be rewarded with a knowledge that is awe-inspiring. As I climbed the fence to the other side, I looked back once and he smiled and said that I no longer needed him to live a good life and he is setting me free, those that think of themselves as sheep will remain so on this side of the fence. Those that have blind eyes will never be insightful but will continue to dwell in the ignorance of the past and I smiled as he disappeared and I began my journey forward to enlighten others. God, in his wisdom led me to the path of enlightment to become an athiest.
I was there where you are now, I believed in what you believe in now. But he showed me that it is false and to be free of it is to be truly happy and liberating as he would like me to be. He told me not to be angered by the people that say atheists can't comprehend the christian ideology, as they are the ones ignorant of what lays beyound the fence and have only an ancient book as a guide for their beliefs. It is science, knowledge and insight that the christians cannot comprehend yet, therefore they will remain in the pasture, on this side of the fence.
Do not let your heart ache for me. The lord set me free as I no longer need him. He exists now only in my memory. The beauty and love I learned from my parents is enough to live a good life.
So sayeth the Lord onto me, and if you don't believe me, then you are on your own path to enlightenment and atheism as you will be doubting the lord's word. And if you don't believe that God spoke to me, then what proof do you have that would make me believe he speaks to you.

Yes Graham, I even post that verse here often because it is complete foolishness to those who are perishing.
My heart aches as I watch, day after day, of so many people caught up in bad arguments, sinful lifestyles, and ignorant views on scriptures.

It bothers me more that too many 'Christians' believe the old testament is Genesis-Malachi presently. Further that not enough 'Christians (especially in USA currently) do not see the beast of Rev. 17 as the USA people. The leadership, (harlot, Babylon) is 'fallen' (Rev. 18, before Rev. 20 (year 6000; current year 5772)).

Mistranslated.
Original scripture never called atheists fools.

Have you read the next verse? How god destroys wisdom? I see that borne out on R&S every day, and my heart aches for the Xtians and other theists, that they can be so utterly stupid!

It's very sad to think about how hardened their hearts are, that they look for reasons to hate the Bible and Christianity when it has brought so many (and to could them, were they open to it) such happiness and peace.
But the atheists here don't necessarily represent all of them, and I am certain that ignorance and such hardness does not run rampant. Even my own young friend has been lured in by the atheist's internet claims, and yesterday when I told him the simple fact of how many died in the name of Christ because they saw him resurrected, (and surely they wouldn't die for what they knew was a lie), he went silent. Atheists on the internet seem to overlook very simple facts in favor of attempting complex-sounding logic. It saddens me that such hardness of heart and ignorance of simple truths is overlooked and even condoned.
Surely, it was easier for early Christians to understand God's miracles and love when their minds had yet to be hardened by the age of "logic explains everything." Logic DOES explain everything, but they turn away from simple logic, reasoning that even the early people could understand, and therefore dismiss Christ's love. They do not understand how much "blind faith" goes into their lack of faith.
It saddens me that they cannot look past themselves and understand why God gives us hardships, and why God is truth.
Pray for them with me, so that a few more might be led to understanding. Certainly many will not listen no matter what is presented before them, but we must be as living examples of Christ's love and miracles. If we act with the love of Christ, and joy in knowing him, perhaps a few may still question their blind faith, and turn to examine our faith which is not as blind as they say. Had my Christian friend not shown me such kindness as an agnostic/deist, I may not have done so myself. Take heart, there are certainly many people similar to how I was in the past, who can be shown the love of God.
God bless and have a nice day.

For a second there, I thought you were going to quote 1 Corinthians like that troll does.

if it's such a travesty that I can't find any logical or scientific indication for a god, let alone your fairytale god, why doesn't he reveal himself to me? I'm completely open to evidence but your god looks to be non-existent.
