Has there been a big increase in the appeal to incredulity fallacies from atheists in recent weeks?

It appears so to me, but I would be interested to hear other (theists) opinions.

Dumbest statement (and question) I have seen from a theist in the past few weeks.

You, sir, deserve a cookie. If only we, as a society, rewarded the idiotic bull-sh!t that seems to be dripping from your stupid face.

Generally, it is referred to (in the sense that you are using it) as "arguments from incredulity". I suppose that you could consider some atheist arguments to be "arguments from incredulity", but they are no where nearly as blatant as those used by believers.

No. The Christians have largely cornered the market on fallacy here on R&S.

I have no problem with imagining god and imagining religious stories to be true. I only have a problem with finding evidence and good reasons for believing in god.

I haven't heard anything. If you mean there's been more arguing, then someone must have been attacking before the arguing was possible.

I'd like to see a scatter-graph with standard deviation to support your claim otherwise it's just babble.

  • Atheists have been making the same error of logic for thousands of years. Now the kids are back at school, the quantity of infantile bravado on Y!A should decrease.
