Isn't he the exact type of person that defense would pertain to?

His crime is beyond comprehension for the average person. It was a tragedy whose effects will ripple on for decades, but that doesn't mean he wasn't mentally ill.

I was just thinking today that I find it odd that in the beginning of the trial and all there were video's as well as many opinions and articles all over the place about him. I haven't seen or heard anything new since the very beginning of his trial. Based on only the videos and info given up to the point of the first week of his trial I for one think he Very well may have some serious mental conditions, not sure if he is insane or not, but as long as he is still the same as those videos then I do think the insanity plea should be kept in place for trials just as that one. It will be up to both sides to try and prove whether he is or isnt insane... there is always the chance someone will come to trial and indeed be found clinically insane, not sure if he is or not, I do hate that the insanity plea is brought up so much when it shouldnt be because I think that desensitizes people to a real condition. I guess I am not sure of your reasons to think it shouldnt be allowed for him.I think it is very possible and his defense had a right to bring it to the table.

An madness plea potential the courtroom will would desire to determine if he certainly is insane. If not: Trial as primary. if so: Holmes would be sent to an insane asylum and taken care of. If he regains (adequate?) sanity, he would be delivered back and positioned on trial. the U. S. criminal equipment has a tendency to frown upon attempting people who're mentally incompetent - somewhat while a accountable verdict will merely approximately rather effect in the dying sentence. particular which potential, we will heal Holmes, positioned him on trial, and then kill him. we are a humorous united states of weirdos. in my view i does not ask for the dying sentence - good day hear me out! traditionally, trials the place the dying sentence would be asked, are plenty extra high priced than trials the place the sentence became existence-without-parole. as properly, why would desire to this guy get a speedy painless dying? Shove him in a cellular, and forget approximately him. enable him watch through fact the international forgets who he's, condemning him to die previous, by myself and forgotten. And as an advantage, this might save assorted time and money!

Shouldn't the first question be "is he insane"? Even Doctors have trouble with that question. If convicted of murder and sentenced to death he would be executed in about 20 years.
