"The bible is fiction. All of it." Really? How deluded does one have to be to reach that conclusion?

It is manifestly evident that many passages of the Bible are historically proven, and totally factual.

Cast your doubts on miracles and spirituality if you must, but do not lose all reason!!!!

Totally deluded. Beyond the fringes of insanity.

You could reword the Bible, but replace the stories and characters and keep the same theme and emotions and the same message, and then if you put it on a screen as a soap opera with jealousy and rage and debauchery, or if you made a movie about patriotic soldiers, killing for a politician's goals; the end result is the same: conditioning people to believe something, to find worth in something, a purpose in life. But first the story must be presented, THEN it manifests. The Bible was the first story, now we have many, they all manipulate people to do the bidding of our overlords.

Our masters believe in it whether we like it or not. It is why it is used in court proceedings. It isn't a book of prophecy, it's a blueprint in prose for how the world really works, and it is manifesting everywhere.

    - You are correct that parts of the bible is factual, it plagiarized from excellent text, so it should be accurate. But the parts it did not plagiarize correctly is a fantasy.

Please post these specific passages you claim are historically factual.

I'm a professional historian, and I have spent most of my career in authenticating documents and placing them in historical context, so I'm eager to see what you have to say.

The fact that the bible makes mention of Rome, for example, or of the Jews' "Babylonian Captivity," is no more historically significant than Harry Potter books making mention of London or of double-decker busses, after all.

Certainly, the framework for many biblical stories is based in the context of the time they were set in, or that they were imagines in, but to suggest that this framework makes biblical passages historically accurate is like saying that the Boune movies are historically accurate.

    Please...do enlighten me.

Of the few ideas in the bible that aren't completely deranged, there isn't one that hasn't been better presented elsewhere. As a guide to life, the bible fails on all levels - it's obsolete, contradictory, convoluted, antiquated and of questionable origin. The truly astounding thing about the stories of the bible is not their often bizarre subject matter, but the fact that a large minority of the Earth's population thinks such rubbish should be taken seriously.

Actually I was watching a program on Islam funnily enough and they were trying to work out the historical accuracy of the quar'an. One historian said unlike the Bible you can't make the places fit the history, UNlike the bible.

I know what you mean that frustrates me as well. On one hand some saying it's the unadulterated work of God and on the other people saying it's all fantasy. fools both.

Details, details details. Which are historically proven. Did you know that the Roman history makes no mention of JC? The storybook is just that, a storybook. It's fable wrapped in stories that may have some hint of actuality, but overall it's like a modern fiction novel set in a real city, say, like, oh, I don't know, maybe Shades of Gray. I'm just sayin'.

So the earth is 6000 years old?

Women were made to be toys for men?

A supposedly all-loving god hates gays, and blacks?

    Practically everything is a sin?

I fail to see how those things are historically proven.
