Frequent falls could be a symptom of what diseases? I know that vertigo and ear?

problems could be to blame. But, what else could it be? At age 75 I just started suddenly heading for the floor- even when holding on to something sturdy like a refrigerator. Any Ideas? I do have a doctor appointment next week.

    Parkinsons disease

Parkinsonian diseases (Progressive supranuclear palsy, Multiple system atrophy, etc.)

    It could also be neuropathic

I would look down before you take steps and move deliberately and carefully

If you need to a supportive device may be helpful

    Seek further medical attention

Your physician may recommend that you see a neurologist.
