WHERE in the Bible does it say Sunday is the Sabbath? Who has the Authority to change the Sabbath day?

We have a sign on the highway just out of town offering $1 million

if you can prove from the Bible that Sunday is the sanctified for worship.

No one has authority to change the Sabbath day.

Sabbath was Saturday

Sabbath derived off of the word Saturday which in some translations has the prefix sab- sabado (spanish) sabtu (indonesia) ....etc.

At the time Mary and Martha were around, Saturday was the Sabbath the seventh day of rest and they started working on Sunday to Friday.

Some churches still believe Saturday is the Sabbath but I think the society/culture today, because of work schedules and other things have switched sabbath to sunday. But also God told us to keep the seventh day holy, and he did not say to do it based on the sacred calender (Hebrew calender).

Some Christians still celebrate Sabbath on Sunday because they believe the bible clearly states to celebrate on the 7th day which is originally Saturday.

Your opinion should probably just depend on after you do your research and how you feel about the whole topic..

The Bible does not say that the Sabbath is on Sunday, or Saturday. It is the "7th day." The actual day is not named at all.

the sabbath is from the o.t , even jesus broke the law about working on that day .

in the book of acts the apostles and the people prayed in the temple on the sabbath, then the

following day they broke bread = eucharist in their homes for the followers of jesus , this went on until the jews under threat by the romans barred all christians from synagogues , so from then on the church spread and grew to be universal =katholicas in the greek.

Sabbath hasn't changed days.

The Roman Emperor made Sunday the day for worship, because he was a worshiper of the sun god Sol Invictus, who he represented on his coins as giving him from the sun the crown of the emperor. Having their worship services on Sunday helped the Christians separate themselves from the Jews who worshiped on Saturday.
