We use LOTS of a bleach at work- am I in any danger?

I work at a pet store caring for the animals and cleaning their cages. They use bleach, and lots of it for everything- and they don't measure it out in the water, they just literally dump 1/3 or 1/2 a gallon into the bucket or sink. My hands are in it about 80% of the time, and there is always a strong smell of it in the work area, so I know I'm inhaling it. There are also no windows or any form of ventilation. My hands are extremely dry and a little itchy now, and when I'm cleaning cages, the bleach smell is so powerful it stings my eyes and makes me feel like I can't catch my breath.

I'm looking for another job and I want to leave this one asap, but I really need to be making money, so does anyone know how long it would take to have any serious health consequences from the bleach? Am I in any significant danger right now? Any input is appreciated.

Update:

The bleach is diluted in water, but nowhere near what it should be. They don't measure it, they just dump a bunch in. And I worried about the dogs too... they don't even take them out of the cages when they clean them- they literally wipe the sides and the grate with the dog still sitting in there, so they're definitely getting bleach on their paws. :-\

The bleach you use should be diluted. And when using bleach you should wear gloves. Because bleach does dry out your hands. As far as breathing it in. I have never heard anything about it harming someone unless it is mixed with urine. Which since you are using it in animal cages you guys need to wipe up as much of the the urine and feces as possible before using it. Like I said dilute it with water. You can look up on the Clorox website how much should be used per so much water. Never mix any chemicals that you aren't sure will be safe.

Well, the main thing is that you should not touch the bleach with bare hands. You should be wearing gloves. It can burn you. Also, they really shouldn't be using it full strength to clean things. They are endangering everyone's health.
