Can you run a marathon as fast at Paul Ryan claimed he did?

Yep, 2.51.38 last year, running 55 miles a week mostly at 6.50-7.15 minute per mile pace with long (10 mile) tempos at 6.15 minute pace. Wanted to go sub 2.50 but hey, it wasn't to be on the day.

I can remember all that and he couldn't even remember his time to withing 1 hour? Please, he's an average at best runner despite all his supposed "fitness".

It's not that outlandish of a claim, although it turned out not to be true. Ryan looks fit enough to have been able to do a three hour marathon in his 20s or 30s. I was able to do a 1:34 half marathon without a lot of training in my mid 30's, and I'm not much of an athlete. That was my only half and I've never trained up to a full marathon.

Nothing about the amount of miles involved.

I can't read the rantings of mental midgets.

Consider what this reflects about his character. He is so hungry for respect and attention that he has a habit of stretching the truth. Dangerous flaw in a prospective national leader, who should have both security and humility.
