How to remove a stuck on label from Porcelain toilet. The toilet is new but the label is on the side and is?
The label is unsightly and not in a position to soak. Will not peel off.
Thank you Athena - however, the label is not in a position to soak.
Thank you Diana. Yes, I realize that Goo Gone will be fine for the glue. The main problem is how to get the label off first without damaging the porcelain. I have put a call in to the manufacturer and I don't know why I didn't think of that first. Waiting for a response. I suppose they must have the answer. I will let you know what I find out, after I try whatever is suggested. I do try everything suggested, if possible. I am elderly and surely have taken off many labels in my time. I just want to do the right thing here and bending over is difficult and going down on my knees is not possible.
Thank you, Vashti; that sounds like a good idea - I will try it.
Thank you all for your response. I did receive a call back from the manufacturer's agent and he recommended that I use a razor tool with a handle and Goo Gone. I explained I didn't have a razor tool or any Goo Gone in the house - he added to his suggestion that I try a long sharp knife and (I suppose he could tell I was a woman) then use nail polish remover for the glue. I explained I didn't want to damage the porcelain. He assured me that a razor/knife would not harm the product. So I tried it sitting on a chair and it was all finished within 10 minutes with hardly any strength at all required. I must give my vote to Diana because at least she did recommend Goo Gone.
Sorry, I just realized I misspelled your name, Diane.

Try using your toilet or toilet seat cleaner, should be easy to soak it with a a spray, you will probably have to rub hard to get it off though.

If you can't soak it directly, can you tape a small wad of wet cloth to it with masking tape?
