Gentlement - A question on shaving?

Shaving using a dual edge safety razor is considered by some to result in a good quality close shave, far superior to the shave from a multiblade cartridge system. However, that majority of men use these systems. If you do, Could you tell me why you haven't, or wouldn't try the good old safety razor.

Thank you

    1. I have to be much more careful during shaving if I change to a good old safety razor, otherwise I get several cuts. It doesn't happen with multy blade cartridges. They are safe. I shave really first with them.

    2. Sharpness goes very fast with dual blades. So, I would need to change blades to frequently.

    3. A good cartridge system shaves as close as a dual blade.

    4. It is more trendy and looks savvy too.

    5. Profit margin is more on cartridges. So, companies promote them aggressively. _

I started years ago with the old safety razor. I then moved to the cartridge type because they are easier to find and buy. Either way I get a good shave.

Never used an old safety razor, I find that a two or three blade cartridge system to give a good shave and is simple and convenient to use.

i personally only use the Gillette Mach 3 razor, as i find it gives an excellant close shave.

Wilkinsons swords blades just clogg up straight away and dont work after the first use, due to the guard wires running down the blades.

any more than 3 blades is getting expensive, and i personally dont think you get a shave that justifies spending any more than the Mach 3.

the safety razor as you call it, looks anything but safe to me! looks like it might take your face off!!

i wouldnt know how to use one properly, but in anycase im happy using Mach 3's ...
