Anxiety and Hairloss?
Hi there,
Recently I've come to terms with the fact I need to seek help. This is very embarrassing for me and I've been trying to tell myself I was just overreacting but I think I've crossed that line long ago.
I'm known by my friends to be an overly anxious person. Small talk, my demeanor, tests, and other things that stress out normal people. However I feel like I get a bit overanxious, I try and avoid doing work or avoid certain conversational encounters, and even at times I feel like I panic a lot with things like exams in university.
Recently I've been under more and more stress and it's been building up over the years. The past two years I noticed I started losing a lot of hair. This I thought to be normal, but I didn't really notice what I was doing to cause it. I started scratching my scalp and playing with my hair so violently at times that I was either pulling out hair or leaving scabs on my scalp causing more hairloss.
Now I'm at a point where the hairloss is very noticeable. I can't hide it anymore and I don't know what to do.
I'm very very tight with money so seeing a psych is out of the question for me and I don't think some "self tips on how to deal with anxiety" will help me.
(Im canadian btw) Where do I go to seek help?
