Panting is a sign of labour in cats who are close to giving birth,so i think she is experiencing contractions and the panting is her way of controlling the pain involved, its typical she is seeking your wardrobe for a nest its dark and private,

but the labour can last anything from 7 hours up to 12 hours but not unheard of to last a full 24 hours, cats labour can pause before restarting so that's the reason for the delay in birthing so that's why she has not given birth as yet,

if a first litter then they can take time,so no she wouldn't have given birth by now its much too soon and each kitten can be born with up to an hour between them,so you have some wait for the whole litter,so for now set up a nice nest but remember she may not like the one you choose as your wardrobe has now been selected!

cats are fussy about nests so if she insists to birth there then to avoid stress then let her be if its a safe area, hope this helps.

Your cat is meowing because it experience's something outdoors in the technique the evening, because you stay so on the point of the line, there is likely a lot of automobiles zooming round outdoors, and it really is not used to the noise, or it really is not used to each of the recent smells and suroundings that your outdated domicile diddin't have. i particularly wish that I helped. reliable success ;)

Ok you need to calm down, freaking out will not help you cat. find a nice comfortable warm place for her and get some soft blankets or towels. keep the environment peaceful and help her to relax. and remember stay calm.
