Consume what you really require. Don't go for the sake of getting something new. Change things only when it is really spoiled. Learn to use things to the fullest. Don't fall for too much luxury.

In various ways, I try to reduce my energy footprint. I try to take mass transit rather than driving. I buy CFL or (where possible) LED light bulbs instead of incandescent. I keep my house relatively warm in the summer and cool in the winter (above 80 and below 70 F). I try to avoid unnecessary driving. I drive a small, fairly fuel-efficient car. I set up my computer monitor (which is now a flat-screen instead of a CRT) to shut off when I'm not using it.

Additionally, I try to explain global warming to the, er, reality-deficient on Y!A. To little effect thus far, I'm afraid, but I hope I'm at least convincing those who haven't yet made up their minds.

Looks like that question/comment is just *too late, the other day, I was relaxing scamming the channels and a program came n, denoting as much as people don't want to accept it, there has been definite continuous global warming, and it is not anything we can do much about.

Source(s): People have even written books, video's denouncing it's probability, but then came all the statistics, and actual temperature categories and they are accurately kept to date as well. I suspect the gas fumes, Revolutionizing of Industrialization, since 18th century, & also the air-conditioning/refrigerators all contribute to the using of all our *Forest, *for research/*medically/*scientifically, as well as the newer *industrializations-taking place like usage of *computers; & upgrading all gadgets, *has sped it all up.

I make it my goal to expose the faulty logic used by the CAGW proponents. I particularly find it useful to point out the continuing use of ad hominem attacks which are leveled against anyone that dares question the unquestionable tenets of the 'faith'.

    Like this one...

<I try to explain global warming to the, er, reality-deficient on Y!A.>

...which combines both an ad hominem attack ('reality-deficient') with a fallacy of the complex question (AGW assumed as a given in the stem of the question).

Maybe to help you understand that we have wasted valuable time on this question when we could be actually helping people understand the responsibility of bringing children into the world responsibly instead of pro-creating without being responsible!

    I tell the truth.

If the truth were known then GW would go away automatically.
