Breastfeeding and IUD...no chance right?

I'm having a few pregnancy symptoms but at only 6-month postpartum, breastfeeding (well, pumping mostly), and with an IUD it seems highly unlikely. I'll test soon but I'm curious if anyone has gotten pregnant this way...and to anyone who got pregnant with an IUD, did you miscarry?

Update:

I bled a lot when I first got it in and I've spotted once a month (give or take) since. I didn't track any of it, partially because I didn't see a point and partially because I forgot. It seems like it's been a while since I spotted last, but Minera can cause periods to go bye bye...

I never got pregnant while using the Mirena IUD. I did however get pregnant when my 5th baby turned around 7 months old right after I stopped nursing and I never even had a period between my pregnancies. I'd say if you aren't having a period you PROBABLY aren't ovulating. But with what happened to me you should test just in case. When you pump instead of nurse you increase the chance of ovulating. When your little one starts eating something besides the breast milk you increase your chance. IUD pregnancies are rare but not totally unheard of.

Your breastfeeding birth control window has officially closed now that you're baby is 6 months but with an IUD you should still be fully protected.
