Political question: just wondering.?

Rarely see an independent WITH "views" on here at all.

Seems like most of the time, "independent" just means ---

"I just can't make up my mind", or ----

"I'm not interested enough to make up my mind ", or ---

"I'm probably not going to vote anyway, but to get my chums off my back,

I'll call myself "independent" and just keep my mouth shut during

the elections when I don't vote and call it none of their business." or --

"I could care less, Dancing with the Stars is on!"......

or, lastly --- "I don't know what they all mean, so --- Heck, I guess "independent"....

Independent. I have no desire to be affiliated with a political party.

One of the problems on here is that many people don't know the difference in a political party, Democrat and Republican and ideologies; liberal , conservative and moderates. Those ideologies can be found in both major parties and among Independents. Conservative does not equal Republican and liberal does not equal Democrat. Democrats and conservatives are not opposites. I am glad to see that so far, all of your answers are political parties, which is what you asked, and not an ideology.

There aren't many real independents on here. Maybe a few who call themselves independents because they are embarrassed to be associated with the republican party officially, but most people here are staunchly democrat or republican....hence the constant ranting and fighting.

I don't currently affiliate with any party. I like the green party but I like Obama.
