Doug gave you his way but i always used to get rid of mine by standing under a warm shower for about 20 mins or alternately go and float in a warm swimming pool, but i disagree with him saying foods do not cause migraine's Dark chocolate , cheese, and red wine can cause them and what caused mine was"high blood pressure" go to the doctor and get a check up"

Migraines aren't caused by foods you eat or don't eat, they are caused by tight neck muscles. The muscles go to the top of your head where they connect to muscles going around your head. When the neck muscles get tight they pull the head muscles into pain and that's your migraine. To get rid of the migraine you have to release your neck muscles to free up the tight muscles in your neck and here's how to do that release:

    Neck:

Put your hands alongside your head so your thumbs are on the front of the muscle under your ear and your fingers are on the back of the muscle, behind your neck. Squeeze your thumb and fingers together and hold. After 45 seconds slowly lower your head as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your neck in the lowered position for another 30 seconds.

For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

    repeat if needed

That would depend upon the cause; they aren't always caused by food. I used to get them from post adrenalin surges (like exams or other mentally stressful situations which didn't involve physical exercise to get the adrenalin out of my system). Some people suggest abstaining from red wine, others alcohol generally, some paople say cheese does it for them. You need to find the link between what you do/have to eat with the actual migraine and then abstain to test if it makes a difference.
