Is it safe to eat 1,200 calories per day - plus burn 300 calories per day?
I am 5'1 and 139 lbs. Female.... I've been eating around 1,200 to 1,300 calories per day. Plus when I work out using my Jillian Michaels' DVDs, my heart reate monitor says I am buring about 220 calories per exercise.
Is it dangerous to eat 1,200 calories per day plus burn 300 during excersize per day?
I am 34 years old.

No. It's not dangerous at all. It will cause weight loss.
Try to make sure you are getting very nutritious foods (vegetables or fruits and sufficient protein).
And take an occasional "cheat day" every week or two where you have plenty of whatever you feel like eating.
If you follow those tips, you should continue to feel great and not slow down your metabolism (your regular exercise is key there).
If you start feeling dizzy a lot or just don't have the energy to work out anymore, then adjust your calories up a bit... like maybe 1500 to 1800.

It's not dangerous as in it's life threatening, but it could potentially slow down your metabolism which will make your body hold onto fat therefore you'll have a hard time losing weight. It sounds weird, I know, but when you're active you should eat more calories. If you're sedentary (not moving or working out), 1200 calories is fine. Technically, you're net cals are 900 (cals. eaten minus cals. burned from exercise). Your net calories should be 1200, so try eating about 1500 calories. :)

Depends how old you are. Adults need to eat up 2000 calories a day and kids need about 1200. I wouldn't say it's dangerous. Just eat fruits and vegetables
