Well the BIG JEWISH CONSPIRACY idea has probably been around since the fall of the Roman Empire, although possibly it came into play later about the time the Inquisition kicked off(mid 1500's). It came out of the same atmosphere. Jews were: A) Nonbelievers B) Had strange customs C) Didn't usually stray outside their religion for spouses D) Some were obviously foreign as well(most were Semitic Jews who look MUCH closer to other Middle Eastern groups than what we think of as a Jew). People have a tendency to look around and blame others when things are not going well. It also didn't help that the Jews tended toward banking, medicine, and other fields where wealth could be accumulated. People latched onto them as being the cause of the problems. Some thought their religious rites were witchcraft. It seems stupid now, but that was back when they burned witches. The idea that the Jewish God=the Christian God was a much later concept.

It all started with a forgery called the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion" made in Russia in the early 20th century in order to stir up anti-Semitic sentiment by making it seem as if there was a Jewish plot to take over the world. It was later proven to be a hoax but still subsequently was the basis of much hate against Jews, notably the Holocaust and Islamic ant-Semitism as expressed by Ahmadinejad.

i guess i agree, one group of people dictating another group of people is wrong , what happened to equality . . . . oh wait ! its the liberals who cant seem to run this country properly and they feel they should give power to only one side and leave the other side enslaved to their crap . . .
