So, "blessed are the meek" still stands?
The counsel of the LORD stands forever,
The plans of His heart from generation to generation.

Quite a question Ed!!!!
As meekness becomes our ultimate reality...the glory of this is all His, as it was and is, Gods desires that gathered us and still does dew us with His everlasting Spirit, sweeping us Upwards towards Himself, through His Spirit and through our past and present generation(s) who spoke( speak) continuously of His sacredness ( the logos of His Holy Words affect today as then, in our here and now)… and in these recognitions we come to be knowers of He, who has performed all the gentling and softening in us. I love this Psalm 33, particularly the verse that sings out to us…
Psalm 33:2 “Praise the Lord with the harp; Make melody to him with an instrument of ten strings.”
((Ten is the number of perfection or completion of God’s “divine order.” I am thinkin he wants us to come into His Divine Order, excites me completely… haha )).
Seems to me, as we become gentled and softened, desiring "all things of God" He changes us., ... to be those counted too, as part of God's submissive people who will gain control over our inside (internal) manifestationsas His Holy Spirit frees us from ourselves >> we become hum bled... it hurts to be pruned... from the world...
... who in patience become keepers of their own souls, even when they can barely keep possession of anything else... because God's Spirit from Heaven, His Kingdom has landed in our hearts this Day, so God bless us all... to rise...as His meek one still does and did...

Do you actually know what the word "meek" means?
To be a meek person means that you are teachable. This is in line with John 17:3 which states that "taking in knowledge of the true God and of Christ Jesus" results in the blessing of everlasting life.
Malachi 3:6 = "I am Jehovah,I have not changed".

The word in the Greek that is translated as meek is, "praus". I did a Bing search to be sure because I had read somewhere that that word means a men of great strength that is able to keep himself under control and act in a righteous way to someone even if he is angry. I couldn't find "the great strength" part but the rest was there. Also Jesus said that He was "praus" and He certainly was no wimp! He was submissive to the Roman rulers when they Crucified Him but He was not submissive in any other occasion and had more strength than anyone except God Himself.

Meek does not mean WEAK...
It means humble...teachable...
(Psalm 37:29) The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it.
(Mark 9:7) And a cloud formed, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud: “This is my Son, the beloved; listen to him.”
(1 Peter 2:21) In fact, to this [course] YOU were called, because even Christ suffered for YOU, leaving YOU a model for YOU to follow his steps closely.
And matthew 28' 19,20
Put it all together...

Yes.
A meek person is
...not a 'know it all'
...can be corrected
...doesn't try to force someone into believing as they do
...realize their own limitations so they are much more amenable to
discussing things with you.
God can work with the meek showing them where they can make
changes. The 'righteous', the 'know it alls'...no, they can't be corrected
at all.
