What just happened in the Braves vs. Cardinals game?

I'm outside of the country right now and just saw part of the game on TV (no audio).

What is with all the beer cans and whatnot being thrown on the field?

Umps called an infield fly rule out for a fly ball hit to the middle of left field.

Frankly, this call is twice as bad as that Golden Tate touchdown.

Infield fly rule did not outcomes the effect of the game. The Braves played poorly, 3 errors, 12 men left on base, negative base jogging (running to the left of the foul line going to first base. Also a bad call by an umpire sport the Braves 2 runs. You are not able to name time when the pitcher is supplying the ball. The pitch before the residence run in the 2nd inning should have been strike three. Infield fly rule was once called properly by way of the letter of the legislation but not by the spirit of the law. Still it didn't rationale the Braves to lose the game. Chipper Jones even mentioned that after the game.

A call by the umpires on the field brought such resentment from the fans at Turner Field that the game had to be delayed because of the trash thrown from the crowd out onto the field.

The Braves were rallying down ^6-3 in the 8th inning. The umpires called an infield fly rule on a ball hit into left field. The shortstop and left fielder miscommunicated and no one caught the ball. It would have been bases loaded one out and instead it was 1 and second 2 out. heres the link
