under armour review from deer hunters?

I was thinking about getting some cold gear from under armour, but i didn't want to spend what their asking for something that's not going to keep me warm. There are reviews online that I have read, but there are some that say "don't waste your money." I really would like some honest reviews of hunters that use the product.

Under armour cold weather gear is made of polyester other brand names are capliene, cool max, which is an excellent breathable, fast moisture wicking (another poser got this completely wrong) material as a base layer for cold weather gear. The one problem this has is stink, the nature of this material holds onto bacteria which causes oder which is the hunters worst enemy. There are other brands that have been treated with anti bacterial which have eliminated this problem still making it the best material for your base layer. Read your labels as Under Armour is upgrading it's products.

I dont buy under armour unless I find it on sale. Otherwise its a lot of money for a little gain. Walmart sells an off brand under armour that is pretty cheap but works just the same, only difference is it is not as durable (in my experiences) but its at least a 1/4 of the cost.

ALL under armour is designed to pull moisture away from your body, which is why I love it in cold weather. If I sweat while wearing warm clothes then stop to sit I dont freeze becasue my body is wet. The moisture is gone. I also notice that when I wear it my body FEELS like its a bit cold. But when I put say a hand on it to feel it, its warm as all get out. Since the underarmour is skin tight it doesnt allow pockets of heat to be right on your skin so you will get the impression that you are cold but in all reality your just as warm as normal.

If you are willing to spend that kind of money, you should instead look at getting a Marino base layer from Minus33 or Icebreaker. Patagonia also makes nice base layers, but they are even more overpriced that under armor. Marino base layers are pretty much better in every way than synthetic base layers, from warmth to wicking ability and odor.

Otherwise, as mentioned, just get a regular no-name brand and pay 1/3 the price for something made out of the exact same material, only minus the football brand name.

Make no mistake, if you are buying under armour, then you are paying for a name. Its a badge hound thing, that's why the logos are so prominent. People who buy under armour want others to know its under armour. Find the exact same lined thermals at walmart and you will be just as warm.

I wear their stuff. Heat gear more impressive than cold gear, but the reason I wear their clothes is that it dries so quickly. Hunting deer or elk here, it's apt to be 20 at sunrise, and 50 to 60 mid-day, then back to 20 at dusk. I find it's easy to layer, and when the outer layer comes off, the long underwear dries quickly and is dry for the evening hunt.

i don't understand if deer are or at the instant are not shade blind because of the fact i'm not a deer. yet i can inform you it is not appropriate. Camo is as that's to interrupt-up the forged human parent - for this reason the random varieties, zig zags, dots, and each little thing else thats been tried over the years. good varieties are undemanding to discover - shapes and contrasting colours wreck up the forged form, hiding it from the attention. it rather is how camo works - colours are in basic terms to extra suitable combination in with our environment.

Their cold gear is designed for athletes, what it does is help keep the muscles warm and aid blood flow to prevent the muscles from tightening up. It does this by keeping sweat on your body instead of letting it evaporate, this is why many find them very uncomfortable to wear - they basically prevent the body from breathing.

If you're just sitting in the cold then they won't be very beneficial to you.
