Is a vote for Gary Johnson a vote for Ron Paul?

They are both Libertarians and mostly agree with each other on issues and policy. The biggest difference is that Johnson is trying to grow a third party (The Libertarian Party) while Paul is trying to turn the Republican party into a Party that takes libertarian positions, so it would still be a two party system- the Republicans and the Democrats.

Since Paul is not the Republican nominee, the question for his supporters is do we better send a message to the parties.Some say that if they vote for Johnson people will see that they support Libertarian positions. Others are simply not going to vote, but it seems to me that does not send a clear message- it could be apathy, dislike of all candidates, or that they prefer someone else but it's not clear who.

Ron Paul seems to like Gary Johnson the best. He said “I think he’s wonderful, and I think he’s doing a good job and people should look at him and every individual should make up his own mind,

I looked into GJ and he has neocon tendencies. I am writing in Ron Paul. Ron Paul will have a far greater legacy than that of Obama and Romney combined. The seeds he planted in the minds of many will spawn patriots for generations to come.

A vote for Johnson if frankly a wasted vote in this election. If you agree with the Libertarian policies, then you need ot work for them to become a viable party in national elections, not a splinter party, like they are now.
