I need help about prescription?

i recently joined a nuring program,  that is extremely hard, i have  a really hard time focusing in school and concentrating. i begin to tell my mom i think i need to make a trip to the doctor, i cant ever focus, pay attention, or concentrate. im so side tracked! i know my brothers prescribed to vyvanse because he has adhd, so i wanted to see if im adhd aswell. i had a feeling i was but i just wanted to get prescribed. my mom called my doctor and told him about my problem with school, and the doctor said to eat healthy. well i tried that, and didnt work. so i called him back..hes booked until 2 weeks. i didnt want to wait any longer, so i looked for other doctors in my area and found one. (this was monday btw) i made plans to go seee this doctor the thursday coming up since that was the only time i had a chance too because im so busy studying.  the next morning (tuesday) i had a test that morning and was trying to study that morning aswell. my mom noticed and just suggested me to take one of my brothers vyvanse if i think i needed it. and i took it, didnt think it was illegal since it was coming from my mom. i dont think she knew if it was illegal either. so i went to school that day focused etc, then wednesday came, but i didnt take anymore, well then thursday came, (the day im scheduled to see that doctor) come to find out first thing in the morning, we take a random drug test! that evening i went to that doctor and ran some test and he said im adhd, well he prescribed me vyvanse 60 mg. well 2 days later i get a call saying i failed my drug test but he asked if im prescribed and i told him yes, to shortin up the story. they now i got prescribed AFTER the drug test. and no i didnt do it just to have an excuse to pass, i really am adhd. will i get kicked out?

You seriously need to grow up.  Are you really going to tell your nursing program that it's mommy's fault because she told you to take a controlled substance that wasn't prescribed to you?  If you are over 18, you are responsible for yourself.  I can't believe you'd throw your mother under the bus like that.  Where's your sense of personal responsibility?  

Let me tell you, in the future if a doctor prescribes a patient a medication and makes a dosage error, and you give that med to the patient, you will be legally liable for the error as the doctor is.  You will not be able to say "but the doctor prescribed it!"  They will hold you responsible for not verifying the medication with the doctor first.  That's the way it works when you are a nurse.  You had better understand this now, before you try throwing the doctor under the bus in a few years.

I have no idea if your nursing school is going to kick you out for failing the drug test.  They might take this kind of thing on a case by case basis.  I know they don't want people who can't be responsible for their own medication passing out controlled substances to others.  You have probably put your future career in some jeopardy, but they may be lenient and listen to you if you appeal.  

Lessons learned.  We all have them.  My advice to you would be to take responsibility and be honest.
