Yep. In my life when I have dealt with the stages of grief, somewhere in the anger stage, my anger gets directed at God.
Who better to get angry at than someone who knows the contents of your heart and soul and understands where all the feelings come from - and won't go away even though you yell and scream.

I haven't believed in God for about 8 years now.
When I was a believer I was angry at him a couple times. Not for anything personal, but for things like the holocaust.. things like this.
I couldn't get this single logical inconsistency out of my head.. the problem of evil.
If we do, indeed, have an all powerful, all knowing, all present God... how can things like the holocaust ever have happened? People always point to the whole "he gave us free will, it's not his fault"... but is that really free will? If God created me and knew every action I would take before I was created.. that's not free will at all that's the illusion of free will. So.. God makes a guy like Hitler, and knows what will happen... isn't that horribly cruel and immoral? So perhaps God isn't omni-benevolent.... or if he doesn't know the choices we will make, he isn't all knowing.... if he can't stop anything he isn't all powerful... see where I'm getting at? If the religious principle is assumed that God creates our morals... then you can't possibly explain the state of the world with an all good, all powerful, all knowing, all present God. Furthermore, you can't even explain free will with that.
So that made me upset. I went to a pastor he said "God works in mysterious ways"... That's BS.. that's a little "I'm going to avoid this blatant logical fallacy by throwing out an equally absurd one". What's mysterious about being an a**hole?

Of course! It's natural! Just because you get angry at God or doubt, that doesn't mean Satan is trying to turn you away, which is something my extremely religious mother has always taught me and I just don't believe it to be entirely true.
