Exactly what is Romney offering?

Paul Ryan said in the VP debate the the Obama campaign was doing the whole "If you can't run on your record try and scare people from the other people" style of campaign. But what actual policy things and plans, with any type of specifics, have we heard from Romney. He said he's for creating jobs. Well okay, we all are but what are you gonna do? He hasn't laid out anything specific about his tax plan other than he wants to cut 20% across the board. No discussion on how that would work in specifics. He said he wants to repeal Obamacare, but not all of it. He still hasn't seemed to have formed an opinion on the Lilly Ledbetter Act. He can't seem to decide if he's for any exceptions to abortions (health of the mother and that sort of thing). He's been very vague about his medicare plan, though that is probably the thing he's been most specific about, but refuses to admit it's a voucher. Ryan made some allusions to wanting to allow people to privatize social security (that's a scary idea right there) and Romney had made a statement that resembled the educational voucher system during the first debate (another scary thing). Where are their specifics? If they're the ones with the record that they can run on, why don't we hear anything about their plans? Aren't they actually the ones attempting to defame and use scare tactics? Am I the only one seeing this?

Because we're projected to create 12 million jobs over the next four years if we do nothing -- that is what he is proposing to do -- nothing. And get a lot of credit for it.

Nobody knows the specifics of his plans because he has nothing new to offer that hasn't already been tried before.

Great Post Kevin I have noticed that none of the Republicans can answer any of your points other than cite a load of waffle and make vague claims just has Romney has.

Today the US are $16.2 Trillion in debt and Mitt Romney is proposing to create jobs by lowering taxes across the board by 20%.

He can't specify how he's going to pay for it because it's impossible for this plan to be "Revenue Neutral" like Paul Ryan claims.

The only specifics Romney has given is that he wants to "Help the middle class by eliminating the capital gains tax". The truth is that 95% of the capital gains taxes in the US are paid buy the top 5% of the wealthiest Americans. How does that help the middle class?

He also specifically said he wants to eliminate the estate tax which applies to the top 1% of Americans, so how does that help the middle class?

This tax plan will absolutely destroy the US's ability to control their own national debt.

Mitt simply says what he thinks Republicans or voters want to hear at the time. As governor he was pro-choice. In 2007, he said he'd sign a bill prohibiting all abortions.

Shake the Etch-a-Sketch or spin the Magic 8-Ball for Mitt's answer today on any subject. See the first link for vodeos of Romney with opposite views on subjects. He has been specific about his tax plan. It's not a simple plan. It will work, but Congress won't like it.

The plan is to of course cut taxes. But he also wants to cut taxes on our savings, dividends, etc. The point of this is to allow people to recover their savings and not get punished from taxes for making good investments.

I welcome this plan. I'm sick of Obama's banking fees and regulations.

    However there is an issue.

Notice that Obama's tax plan and policies never happened? So if Obama didn't do what he promised to do with his tax plan, foreign policies, reducing the amount of money spent on the wars, reducing the debt, etc. then what makes anyone think he will do it this time?

Who is to say that Romney won't lie like Obama and so many other politicians.

P.S. Why don't very many Democrats know or accept the fact that Obama lowered taxes for the rich this term by renewing the Bush tax cuts?

Mitt Romney has been caught changing his place many situations to pander to the objective industry of a undeniable speech. that's no longer in assessment to many politicians. although, if he became President, as with Bush, the Republican occasion somewhat would administration what gets completed interior the White abode, no longer Romney himself. Bush wanted to reform our immigration rules to permit migrant workers legally interior the U.S., however the GOP did no longer help him, so it meant no longer something. His authentic govt ability became exercised by skill of affirming wars in a foreign country. this would properly be a ability that belongs to the President in my opinion. Mitt Romney might make some strides in the direction of a extra Republican united states of america the place wealthy human beings pay decrease tax fee than center classification, abortion is made unlawful, no regulations on organizations. we are extra possibly to circulate to conflict with Iran if Romney will become President than if Obama does. vast organizations and families who earn over $500,000 and persons who earn extra advantageous than $250,000 will savour tax cuts (supposedly an incentive to create jobs). we'd see decreased regulation by skill of the government, and a shrink interior the dimensions of the government (many government workers would lose their jobs). it is doubtful whether standard, center-classification individuals would see a wreck from this. of course, my reaction limited to my exposure to what has been pronounced. however the fast answer would be -- Romney would function a figurehead of the Republican occasion, with little ability himself yet to initiate a conflict, which he seems waiting to do, nonetheless no longer as bellicose as G.W. Bush.

Romney is selling empty claims, its obvious.

There is nothing that "Obama broke", since everything he's done has improved conditions since the economic freefall of 2007-2008. The only argument Republicans can legitimately make is that progress has been slow, but then again they've tried to obstruct everything he attempted to pass.
