Do I have an intolerance for wheat, gluten or yeast?

Whenever I have brown bread or pizza I always have really bad indigestion, feeling burpy, heartburn and a really swollen and crampy stomach that feels really full even if I haven't eaten much.

I'm not sure if this means my body disagrees with wheat, gluten or yeast, I don't want to give up my favourite foods so I'm hoping to figure out if I can get gluten/yeast free alternatives.

I ate pizza yesterday and still have indigestion.

Any ideas?

Yeah you could have Celiacs Disease, which is an allergy to Gluten. Try getting a blood test SPECIFICALLY for Celiacs. However, if these come back negative, don't overwrite it comepletely.

My mum had a blood test done which came back negative, but she has the same symptoms as you when she eats gluten (bread, pasta, some sausages). A lot of people have an intolerance to gluten but are just anware of it.

Try cutting Gluten out from your diet COMEPLETELY for 1 month. If you notice any benefits, then stick to it. You can get lots of things that are gluten free such as bread, pizza's, sausages (most sausages have gluten in them), pasta, etc from big supermarkets and like Asda (or walmart if you're American).

Just make sure you completely cut it out. Gluten isn't like sugar. You can't say "Oh I'll just have a tiny bit, it won't make a difference". That's not how gluten works. It stays in your body for ages. So make sure you striclty go gluten free for a month. Also, make sure you check ALL labels of things you eat. A lot of things that you wouldn't even think had gluten, have it in. So make sure you check the labels. And tell waiters when you eat out that your are gluten free. They'll help with choices and stuff.

It's hard but it's worth it. My mum actually lost weight while doing this and she is a completely new person! Her health is much better and she feels great! So I highly reccommend it! If you find it doesn't help, try cutting out dairy or other things. Just make sure you stick to it for a month, becasue only then will you likely notice effects.

Hope this helps and all the best!
