Measuring graphics card?

I'm not completely sure of if my computer case is spacey enough for the GTX 550 Ti graphics card, I've measured the slot area in my computer and want to be positive of whether it'd fit or not.

Here is a pic of the inside of my computer:

I believe the graphics card is around the 8 inch area, so do you think that I'd be able to squeeze it in there? Thanks.

Here's the graphics card:

"The graphics card is 8.25 inch long and the case is about 8 i don't think so but ask someone I'm no expert." THEY ARE ASKING, WHY WOULD YOU ANSWER JUST TO SAY YOU DON'T KNOW.

Anyway, now that the rant is over.

The 550 Ti is a small card, it will fit.

It looks like you have a micro ATX board, so it will fit, and it'll be snug, you won't really be able to fit a longer card in there.

Basically those cards get out of the motherboard. (they fit in an average case, if only there are no harddisks at the end of it.

But in your case, i think it would also be very close to your SATA cables. (

(they take the size of 2 pci slots)

There is a chance you can squeeze it in, But the fans will be near the cables.

I believe it will take up to 9 (judgin by the ruler and PCI express size) in width

and in height it will take both the PCI slot and the ruler.

Make sure you will also need above 650W (good brand) PSU

and you can always get a new case.

(PS: If you dont do good cable management the temps will rise)

*Edit soz i was mistaken by 560 Ti

    550 is http://d.scdn.gr/images/sku_main_images/000328/328...

(look at the size of pci slot)

but the part that it takes to slots is true, (it will be above the ruler).

The fan (cover) based on the brand might differ.

    as for wattage.

    Measured power consumption

    System in IDLE = 168W

System Wattage with GPU in FULL Stress = 289W

    Difference (GPU load) = 121 W

Add average IDLE wattage ~ 19W

Subjective obtained GPU power consumption = ~ 140 Watts

It will also depend at your system on idle (but always assume your PSU is always 80% efficient and it drops based on years you have it.)

The only way to know for sure is to actually measure your slot in your PC and then go to the manufacturer's site for the card your getting and look up the specs for that card on their site.

You can't do this from pictures.
