Really scary horror movies?
Hi.
I'm planning to have some friends over on Halloween, and we're gonna watch some really scary horror movies.
The problem is, we can't think of any.
What are some really scary movies that you've watched?
The scariest ones you've ever seen, ones that made you scream.
Thanks, guys.

Well..I don't like scary movies. But when I was younger, SAW movies scared me. A lot.
I had nightmares for the longest time. And okay, The House Of Wax. I don't even know what happened that movie, but there was this part and OMG. I was like 10, and it was all just scary. Nightmares for weeks after watching that.
Scream movies are okay I guess.
Have you seen The Exorcist? Pretty old, pretty creepy.
I'm gonna have a nightmare now.
Goodnight.

depends if you are looking for torture porn, stuff, saw, hostel etc, doesn't really do much for me, find it a little boring
I prefer the supernatural creepy stuff, love the 70s movies Wicker Man, Don't Look Now, The Omen they just seem to be a bit more valuable, not designed to be seen and forgotten.
Some of the japanese and korean stuff is pretty interesting, seems to balance the torture porn with the pervaisive atmosphere. Try The Ring, Audition, Grudge.
If all else fail's, my money is on The Shining

Let the Right One In - it is more of an understated scary movie rather than a "splatter" film...
Silence of the Lambs
