I guess it is true after all... Romney IS buying our votes. We just won't see any of the money. Comments?

I am against voting machines, but the problem is the local government that supported it. the overzealousness of hanging chad created this problem even though Democrats did warn that machines would be even worse since Republicans have stronger connections with the makers.

It isn't as bad as the article makes it sound. Those voting machines mark a paper ballot, and the paper ballot can be checked by the voter before being turned in. Otherwise it would not be possible to vote should the machine break down.

It's still possible for fraud to occur in the software that scans the ballots. But that's been true since the days of punchcards ... more than forty years now. In any case the machines are tested by bipartisan teams of pollworkers: two democrats, two republicans. You can probably rely on a county dominated by Democrats to test them a little more thoroughly.

Romney is not buying our votes. The choice to go purely electronic voting with no paper trail, minimal security, and limited internal controls is a very dangerous one. But, this choice was passed by both parties. That said, Romney Investments (as almost all politicians) are not and can not be handled by the politician himself. Instead, he has other people that do it for him without telling Romney what he is investing in. Same thing goes for Obama. Is Obama going to invest in the company that just signed a contract to install EVERY voting machine in the US? Most likely, yes! It's a solid investment decision as the company has guaranteed revenues after winning the government contract. Heck, most shrewd investors will jump on this boat. It's not an effort to buy votes at all.... And I'm sure Obama's portfolio has done the same thing (but they keep his portfolio more secretive as he is the president ya know)

Why is it the liberals believe that the republicans use the underhand tricks that the liberals use all the time? Are they really so afraid of losing that they think they have to drag everyone down to the liberals level just so the liberals at least have a chance to win?
