Signs a cat is in labour?

So my cat is quite big and we are not sure how far along she is. She has been acting quite weird. She has been going in her box a lot in the past hour and she was sleepy and restless. Then she randomly started to chase our other cat around. Now she is acting frustrated and keeps licking her stomach and little bits. And all of this has happened in less then an hour? Could she be going into labour? Or if not what are some other signs?

Thank you for your help :)

Yes, it's possible. Cat pregnancies are about 8 weeks, so not very long.

When labour actually starts, you should see contractions - maybe for an hour or two before she starts giving birth. But she may be looking for somewhere, in a 'nesting' instinct, and that can happen for several days before the actual birth.

She very could be! Just keep an eye on her, it sounds to me like shes preparing or that she knows its happening. Make sure you're there when she gives birth, ever from afar, and keep a phone handy for the vets just in case. Good luck!

Also please spay her after this litter, there are so many unwanted kittens/cats in shelters at the moment. If will also decrease your cats chance of getting cancer and make her generally happier :)
