Declawing is a terrible thing and a mistake. Declawing is like having all your fingers cut off at the knuckle. A simple solution to scratching and furniture clawing is training and clipping the cats claws or using nail caps. Declawing is the lazy and painful for your cat way out. People who declaw don't deserve to own cats. Unfortunately, whats done is done and you and your cat will have to now deal with this. Not wanted to use the litter tray is a common issue with declawed cats. Her paws are sore. Get a new tray and a new, finer grain litter. This normally solves the problem.

I don't blame her if my owners had brutal declawed me i **** all over the house. Don't you know how cruel that practice Thankfully in Uk is banned and most vet worldwide want do it as they know how cruel it is. It is a painful practice done only for the owners self centred reasons. She is obviously in pain and that could be why she is not using her litter tray.

De-clawing is very traumatic, and leaves their paws scarred and painful. De-clawed cats do better with sand-like clumping litter. The rougher textures hurt their paws.
