What happened to the question is Satan good and God evil?

Halfway through answering this it disappears. Are there fellow Christians so weak in there faith they miss an opportunity like this? The questioner claimed that God was responsible for evil through the gift of free will.

Regardless of the apparent deletion here is my response:

What a load of miss guided rubbish you have chosen for your fishing bait. However I am glad you have used it for at last a theological debate has begun, thank you.

One of the trends I have noticed through out the history whilst researching it is how quickly believers and non believers alike are quick to blame misfortune on outside agencies such as God, Satan, Demons, Aliens or even the CIA.

The first point of course is that to blame God, who is all loving, for making us do evil is contradictory in itself. So what has God done other than grant us free will? Sent guidance through the prophets and Jesus as well as bless all who have come willingly to God is a response I would choose.

Now for Satan and his power to force us to go against God’s will. Not going to happen; Satan deceives and encourages us by having us believe we know better than God, for those of you who have rejected without reading I commend the explanation of Lehi’s in the Book of Mormon. However, if the Book of Mormon is so evil you can not caste your eyes upon it without frying your eye sight then read the bible for the examples of this are scattered throughout. Demons are a different kettle of fish being the tools Satan uses to try and control us; they are vanished easily if you follow Jesus’ examples. Neither Satan nor his minions have any power or authority over us unless we give it to them; the point here is that we can take that authority away and return to God who loves and awaits our return. Here we see the edge of Jesus’ comment that to sin against the spirit can never be forgiven. I.e. we not only choose to serve Satan but do his work and totally reject God.

As for Aliens and the CIA, one would hope they are too busy looking for each other to be a threat to our relationship with God.

This leaves the dreaded free will gift from God and whether it is evil as suggested. The answer is simply no for it is what we do with it that is either good or evil. An analogy would be to say fire is evil. This leaves the question as to why would God allow use the free will to choose good works or evil. I can not claim to fully understand God at this point in my journey but I can surmise that you can not tell if a restrained dog is good until you set it free or if a bird wishes to be with you whilst locked in a cage. There is greater joy when they are sett free and willingly return to us then when they come to us because we feed them through bars.

Oh yea true thinkers 'Let the games begin if you will'.

God is always respected as Good, and similarly the Satan is disrespected and titled as Evil. This is not new. It is a followup of long history.

It makes the bible thumpers uncomfortable to try to actually think about something for a change.
