Why do the Wealthy American's hire Nanny's from other Countries?

I'm afraid because they are cheaper. Rich people can be very stingy.

The point is this. If an American Nanny is available at the cost I hire a foreign one, there is no need to hire a foreign Nanny. While I need to worry about "what an Immigrant will do while in their home and with their Helpless, Inncent Children" [I have not corrected the sentence that you wrote incuding the spelling mistakes], I should first be able to afford that cost of an American Nanny and more importantly put up with her antics, lack of application, non-seriousness on the job & general indiscipline. Why do you hide all these?

I live in Canada, so while not from the USA the reasoning is the same... Canada hires foreign workers also including foreign care-givers.

You answered the question yourself in a sense by implying 'rich and wealthy' - not overly accurate as I'd suggest more 'struggling middle-class' but from the outside looking in undoubtedly it look very posh no doubt. We do have nice lifestyles, among the best in the world.

We've both fought bloody wars, and do work hard for that privilege however :)

I for one am not going to apologize for it.

Both husband and wife must earn an income - and if there aren't enough citizens in the country to take on every job that country offers, why not spread the joy and let foreigners have a piece of the pie. Contrary to western countries always seeming lazy greedy, rich, or whatever appearances may seem - often there is a common sense well-intended logic to it all.

And why not trust foreign workers, undoubtedly they're honourable people just like us.

There is no guarantee that the sweet helpless innocent children would fare any differently with native caregivers. Anyone can be mentally ill - even a family member. But the answer is that foreign born workers will work for longer hours in poorer conditions, often leaving their own children behind in the care of others in their own country of origin, to try to improve their lot in life. Americans would insist on reasonable wages and proper working conditions.

Because they're cheaper and less aware of employees' rights under the law.

To provide someone in that business, who has needs, with a job.

They don't trust Americans.
