In studies of women who obtain abortions, about 1% cite their pregnancies as being the result of rape.

That number may be subject to some scrutiny, considering that this is volunteered information and many women may not feel comfortable disclosing their assault, but it's the best number we've got. If a woman reports her rape to the police or hospital and is still within a 5-day period from the act of sex, it is automatic policy to administer emergency contraception, which prevents pregnancy 89% of the time. For those who do not get the emergency contraception or for whom it does not work (an estimated 32,000 every year: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0812/79895.ht... they may then decide to carry to term or to abort; I do not know which is more common.

    Hope that helps.

1% of abortions are for rape, don't think anyone has compiled a stat yet. at least I havent seen one yet.

Strangly a lot of women that get pregnant by rape choose not to end their pregnancy. I have even seen one on this forum that said she got raped and was breaking up with her husband because he demanded she abort it. and she didn't want to.

You enter new psychological territory , so far mostly uncharted territory (and it will never be charted until things change) and not a lot of answers out there.

I read psychology as a hobby. and a lot of it seems to only confer to one view point and ignores the rest of the picture

you won't have the capacity to get solid information because of the fact women folk many times do no longer document a rape. I used to artwork at a sanatorium, and that i basically observed 2 women folk who have been there because of the fact of rape. as a fashion to get the abortion loose they could could desire to make a police document, and a large form of girls folk do no longer want to try this. As you may nicely be responsive to, a large form of rapes are devoted by using acquaintances. the ladies have been victimized, yet do no longer want to deliver an ex-chum to detention center. it is totally confusing and complex.

I saw some data, from feminazi-leaning sources, of course, that claim that women who are raped to completion have an 8x greater chance of pregnancy than women who willing have sex.

But since rape is really not very common at all, I suppose there are not very many women getting pregnant from legitimate, or real, rapes.

The "experts" claim there is no way to determine how many women get pregnant from rape, because no one keeps statistics on that, and it would be very hard to get meaningful data. They then trot out the tired lie that most rapes are not reported, etc., etc.

Source(s): Beware of Lysenkoism and politically motivated lies masquerading as science.
