When republicans complain about gas prices under Obama, why do they never mention that?

in July of 2008, just before the economic collapse, gasoline was OVER $4.50 per gallon?

They only use the figures of gas AFTER the DOW fell to 8000 points, and took oil futures with it.

We're at $3.19 here today, and we've NEVER been as high as $4.50 since Obama took office.

After I purchased gasoline in these days, it used to be $4.09 per gallon. I purchase fuel each two weeks or so and i often do not pay awareness to the rate. I live very almost my work, family, leisure, and browsing so i do not use much gas. That's simply some of the perks of city dwelling. I typically use a company vehicle for the period of the day. It was once the equal underneath Bush. I failed to blame Bush for the price of fuel.

Well, generally people like to mention the facts that benefit them. I am not saying their facts are inaccurate, mainly because I am not knowledgeable about the situation, but in any political party, they seem to use facts which generally benefit them. This is just the way politics work. Especially, because there is generally not one statistic for a topic, therefore people will cherry-pick for a statistic which confirms their views.

FYI. If you want to make a good argument, you always should mention that which contradicts your argument and then prove yours is the superior point.

Gas prices briefly rose to over $4.00 a gallon under Bush. The operative word is BRIEFLY. Bush actually DID SOMETHING ABOUT IT. What has Obama done? NOTHING. He has said himself that high gas prices are a good thing.

Nice try but gas is up to $3.59 according the EIA on 10/29/12. http://www.eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/

So because it was higher earlier (which very well could have been a reason why we switched to Obama), we should ignore it now? Is this the logic you truly wish to use?

George Bush got plenty of heat for that and he responded by going to the OPEC ministers (Saudis) with his hat in his hand asking them to increase production. He was denied.

    This was all very public.

Curiously enough, Obama supporter Hugo Chavez, was at that same time petitioning the other OPEC nations to drive the prices higher because the U.S. economy was on the ropes.

It is amazing to me that they even believe Obama has any control over the price of gas. People just aren't well informed about the powers of the President.

When Liberal Massachusetts complains that Governor Romney is to blame for their current higher prices, why has he not been in Massachusetts office in ten years and somehow they say he is able to use his 'psychic abilities' to make McDonalds prices and other prices rise ridiculously there?

They just want to ***** at Obama because he's black and not a republican.

I like how Shovel deflected the question. Typical.
