2002 2500HD Chevy Silverado Hydroboost brake booster question.?

I have a 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500HD 4x4 with the 8.1 L engine. I had to purchase a new Hydroboost brake booster. No auto parts store sell this booster with the pushrod/spring/retaining ring included (this is the spring loaded rod that goes between the master cylinder and booster) and is considered part of the booster. The problem is that the retaining ring is bad. The auto parts stores want $150 for this brake booster. The only one I can find with this booster with the rod/spring/retaining ring included is the dealer and they wand $800 for the same part. I checked all the junk yards in Florida (where I live) and no one has one. Does anyone know if there is this booster somewhere on the planet with the rod/spring/retaining ring included? I don't have enough K.Y. jelly to pay $800 dollars for a $150 dollar part. Really the only part I need is the retaining ring but the dealer doesn't offer this part, you have to purchase the entire booster to get it. Does anyone know or have any info on my problem?

Update:

If anyone has any knowledge of a different type of truck that uses this same Hydroboost brake booster such as a Suburban, GMC Sierra or any other vehicle the info could be of some help.

Try a Silverado forum online, you may be able to find someone in your area who just happens to have a junk booster with a good retaining ring. Forums are like gold when you need hard to find parts or just pieces that are part of something else. www.gmtruckclub.com, www.silveradosierra.com, www.chevroletforum.com try those, good luck

To begin with, the hazzards and switch signals are two totally specific switches.... An ase tech will have to comprehend this.... Second... This appears like an eletrical grimlen. There is no useful purpose why either the flip sign or hazzards are being affected by the brake. The hazzards are managed via the flasher hooked up underneath the dash, next to the fuse block. The change on the steerage column is only a power switch. It doesnt clearly do whatever besides supply the flasher vigour. The turn sign is controlled both by way of the cam on the steering wheel and the flasher modual beneath the dash. The brakes( the electrical section in any case IE your brake lights) are managed by way of the brake pedal change, which is mercury filled switch under or behind your brake pedal. There is not any rime or rationale why your flip alerts and hazzards are getting crossed together with your brakes. They are in three extraordinary materials of your truck as i have defined. If i used to be you i'd take it to a chevy garage and have them determine it out
