How long was the term Eved used to describe a "slave"?
How long was the term Eved used to describe a "slave" and what other terms meaning "slave" have derived from the word Eved?
The reason I am asking this question is because I am writing a paper for a class I'm taking. I am attempting to describe how derogatory/demeaning names have dissolved as the times change and present becomes past. I tried to research it legitimately but I just can't find the answer, so I have to cheat a bit lol. At least I'll be learning at the same time.
I thank you much if you can help.
1 AnswerHistory8 years ago2002 2500HD Chevy Silverado Hydroboost brake booster question.?
I have a 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500HD 4x4 with the 8.1 L engine. I had to purchase a new Hydroboost brake booster. No auto parts store sell this booster with the pushrod/spring/retaining ring included (this is the spring loaded rod that goes between the master cylinder and booster) and is considered part of the booster. The problem is that the retaining ring is bad. The auto parts stores want $150 for this brake booster. The only one I can find with this booster with the rod/spring/retaining ring included is the dealer and they wand $800 for the same part. I checked all the junk yards in Florida (where I live) and no one has one. Does anyone know if there is this booster somewhere on the planet with the rod/spring/retaining ring included? I don't have enough K.Y. jelly to pay $800 dollars for a $150 dollar part. Really the only part I need is the retaining ring but the dealer doesn't offer this part, you have to purchase the entire booster to get it. Does anyone know or have any info on my problem?
3 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs9 years agoIs it ok to give a statue of Buddha to a Buddhist as a gift ?
I just don't know if it is acceptable to a Buddhist. Obviously Buddhist don't believe that Jesus is our Lord but, would it be ok to give this gift at Christmas time or is their a special date to Buddhist better fit as a time for me to give this gift, if acceptable? A link explaining my question with the best answer will get 5 stars. One last thing. The answer to this last question isn't necessary but appreciated. Would it be a "sin" (as a Christian) for me to give this as a gift?
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoCould all of the Gods in history have been real?
First of all lets define "God". God is the most powerful being in the universe and created everything known to man. This definition should cover the religious and scientific view point.
Could "God" have created the other Gods like Buddha, Zeus Apollo exc to guide human beings.
If you are spiritual this could mean "Angels" not mentioned in a Bible for reasons of suppressing other interpretations of "God".
If you are scientific this could mean biological beings created to aid humans in progression.
It just seems so logical any way you look at it.
Also, could the Dinosaurs have been created to terraform the planet for humans. Once the atmosphere reached acceptable levels for human life, WAMO ! No more Dinosaurs.

4 AnswersVideo & Online Games9 years agoIs a Centrifugal Space Station Scientifically Possible ?
I have pondered over this theory for many years and I just don't seem to see how it could work. If you are in 0 gravity and no outside force is influencing you how are you supposed to stick to the wall. Wouldn't you just float in the middle as desks, computers and file cabinets wiz by you that are bolted to the floor. I don't see how Objects moving around me are going to effect my mass. The only thing that would be touching me ( barring a file cabinet doesn't smack you in the head on it's way around ) is the atmosphere inside the station. As far as I know the atmosphere is not affected by the gyroscopic forces created by the spinning station in a way that would make my mas stick to the floor similar to the effects of gravity. What am I not getting here? Why isn't the Centrifugal Space Station like a giant blender? Or do I have a point?

10 AnswersAstronomy & Space9 years agoIs George Zimmerman innocent ?
All the evidence seems to point to self defense. The man was only doing his job. I mean what good is community watch if they don't watch/investigate? I don't think it is good to glorify someones death but it is definitely not good to condemn an innocent man for trying to do the right thing to potentially protect the community.
11 AnswersCurrent Events9 years agoIs calling a black person an African American racial profiling?
Wouldn't a Jamaican be insulted if you called them an African American. So just because someones skin is "black" doesn't mean they are African. After all, we all are descendents of Africans. Why not just call black folks black Americans? Would that be more P.C. in America? It is like calling a person of Irish decent a British American just because he is an English speaking white person. What do you think?
