Feeling more religious lately?
I grew up in a Christian home, once I graduated high school and moved out, i joined the military and I became a skeptic (because i was forced to believe and didn't feel a need to once i moved out) and didn't really believe in religion. I believed in a God, but not in the labels, Christianity, Catholicism etc.(Buddhism for a while actually made the most sense to me even though i didn't follow it).
Anyway, recently I find myself praying a lot randomly. I haven't prayed or "talked to God" in years, but out of no where I feel that I can't get through my day comfortably without doing this, asking for guidance, help etc.
Like I said, this came out of no where, I haven't spoken to a pastor or any other Christian, I haven't been to Church or anything. The thing is, my life has been a lot better since I've started this. I'm deeply into science (im an engineering major) is there any logical explanation for this behavior? or is this religion thing a possibility

If you dont feel you need religion when you move away have you ever considered that youve moved on? I am an Atheist and I'm not ashamed of that. You dont have to look far, between atrocities made by religions on one another and the fact most religions dont have much of an idea of how our world came into being.
Seriously? Be youreself. Think. Research. Find your own truth.

It means, also, that we must be willing to clear away all that we hav previously learned, all that would clog our steps on the way to truth;.... We must not allow our love for any one religion or any one personality to so blind our eyes that we becom fettered by superstition!

God hates no-one. on occasion our very own emotions and thoughts get interior the way of experiencing God. i do no longer understand any Christian who has no longer felt the way you do on occasion. tell God what you experience. Be as loud as you go with for and don't worry approximately language. He can take it. once you show those issues to God, you would be greater open to His Love. that's troublesome, this Christian existence. God provides us plenty, yet demands plenty besides. on occasion this suggests dealing with trials, discomfort and suffering. on occasion handling dropping human beings we cherish. Our small, finite human minds won't be able to even start to understand God's plans in all this. If we did understand what our existence had in save for us, we in all probability might lock the doors and stay in mattress. yet God needs to construct us up. to enhance and mature us. To make us the human beings He designed us to be. thoroughly fulfilled and satisfied. So, existence is nearly a preparation floor. difficulty after difficulty hits us, each and each a venture, each and each annoying greater human beings and making us greater effective arranged to take on the subsequent venture. And so we advance and advance into greater effective than we ever theory shall we be.
