Are you aware that 84% of Welfare States in this country are Republican or Red States?

I keep hearing you Republicans whine about how Obama is going to turn us into a socialist country where lazy people depend on the government for handouts. Well are you aware that 84% of Welfare States in this country are Republican or Red States? Of the 32 states that receive more than they contribute, 27 are Republican. Conversely, 78% of the states that contribute more than they receive (14 of 18) are Democratic or Blue States. So while you preach about personal responsibility and not relying on government, it turns out you're the worst offenders of all! And the Democratic states are picking up the tab. Ironically, you were shooting yourselves in the foot by voting for Romney because if he'd won, he'd have cut off that welfare to your states or significantly reduced it, making your people suffer to pay for his tax cuts for the rich.

The two key foundation stones of Right-wing policy are:

Take money from the poor, and

    Give money to the rich.

They erroneously believe that the wealthy will spend their money, which will then create jobs for those that haven't dedicated their entire live to the single pursuit of personal wealth. (There really are better things to do with your life!)

The actual outcome of such politics is that the wealthy simply keep the money they get, and an increasing number of the 99% are forced onto welfare to support their ever decreasing income.

The Right-wing only remains popular because they get almost 100% media support! (While the media appear to totally ignore the mountain of negative consequences of Right-wing government!)

Source(s): I have ben here long enough to have seen how it all works. (That, and I haven't got the media filling my head with half-truths and lies.)

    *I* am aware of it.

But, many in the GOP still are under the impression that it's a "minority help agency".

As long as the GOP and their supporters continue to ignore facts, they will lose.
