Was the election won because people liked Obama more, or because they liked his policies better?

Maybe people really don't want a new across-the-board tax cut and then lose their deductions.

Despite a miserable economy, high unemployment and a seemingly unending array of hardships, this country picked Obama against what should have been a slam dunk for a challenger.

But, the message of the challenger (Romney) was so mixed, unrealistic and a platform leading to re-entrance into another Bush like Recession that anything would have better than Romney

And from what I've read on the Republican election post mortem, they've not learned any lessons

This is the difference between the parties now. The people voted for Obama's policies and the thought from the Republicans on Wednesday was they should have placed Rubio on the ticket.

What???? They think they would have gotten more minority votes because Rubio looks like them. They just don't get it that the policies matter!

I've heard Obamabots interviewed after he won and they had no idea what they were saying. Its just a popularity contest and Obama was the media darling one again so he won. Go out and ask an Obamabot what the NDAA is and 9 out of 10 will have no idea. Ask them about drone attacks killing innocent kids and adults, they will have no idea what you are talking about.

The people that I know who voted for Pres. Obama voted for him because they dislike Romney more than Obama. They didn't actually vote "for" Obama. They voted against Romney.

Probably because they thought that he cared about ordinary people more. Romney's 47 percent comment really made him look like he didn't care about ordinary people and reflected poorly on his character. People were actually about evenly split on who would do better on the economy.

People tend to "Stick With" a Brand that They Know & Trust. So I think They decided to stick with the "devil They KNEW", than jump to a Romney- They Didn't. ;)

The Cult of Personality and the fact that class warfare works. I wonder if it even crossed Jay-Z or Beyonce's "minds" that THEY ARE THE 1% who do not pay their fair share with a combined net worth of close to $1B.

Bin Laden is dead, the DOW is holding well above 12,000 (it was 6,630 in March, 2009) jobs are up, GNP is positive, American forces have come back from that senseless war in Iraq, START has been ratified, that ugly DADT law is history, the CFPB has been established, Chrysler and GM are still functioning, the rotten, greedy, credit card companies can’t jack up your interest rate on any damn whim and sick little kids can no longer be denied health coverage.

He won because he's doing very well.
