A lot of things are possible. 3.31 is not a limit. My Intel i7 is 3.5 (OC 3.9). I know for a fact AMD has faster CPU's. It will simply cost more.

    Check out this.

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...

It is 3.5 and it ia only about 60 dollars more.

This one is a 8 Core compared to your six core and its turbo is 4.0GHz.

    I would recommend that!

as long as you have an excellent to sturdy pix card, then it will be positive. present day gaming on a laptop is lots greater based upon the pix card, than upon the CPU. So in case you got working example a GTX 660 Ti pix card, and coupled it up with a FX 6100 CPU, then it may be superb for gaming. yet status by utilising itself, the FX 6100 isn't that great of a processor, and is unquestionably bested by utilising any mid-point quad middle Intel chip (like the i5 3550, or i5 3570k, or maybe final generations i5 2400, or 2500k). in case you like AMD then decide for it, its your money. basically make particular to get a sturdy pix card or it wont count. yet i prefer to advise getting an Intel CPU. you would be greater advantageous off in the long-term.
