Do You Think the Secession Petitions Are a Case of Sore Losers Or the Result of Fear?

America will never be destroyed from outside forces,If we fault-er and lose our freedoms it will be because we destroyed ourselves.

This is not the first time this issue has come up. This issue stems from the time the constitution was written, when there were legitimate fears of a central government trying to usurp sovereignty from the individual 50 states. The states were sovereign from the beginning, and were always intended to keep power. However, since the formation of the federal government, it has become so large that it now has the power to bully the states into obedience. People born into this state of affairs do not understand the importance of distributed sovereignty. When you place a bunch of people at the top who have little accountability and zero oversight, and nothing forcing them to do their job or do it well, it creates an umbrella of corruption that affects everyone from the top down. It also allows centralizes power and makes it easier to bribe people, etc. The "Union" was not created so we could be one people, it was created for the purpose of military defense and to facilitate trade between the states (then separate nations), but we have become that nation of the "United States", instead of several sovereign states. There is a feeling among certain people that there has been a long-running conspiracy to usurp power from states by locking everyone into a system of dependence on the federal government (for example, Obamacare), so that it is no longer possible for the states to extract themselves from our corrupt system.

You wonder why more than half our tax dollars go toward paying off past and future wars, and then you realize that half the country still does not want to be under a centralized control (people came to America to escape an oppressive government). It takes a lot of bullets to intimidate people into silence.

You may hear about various small armies or militias around the country. These are considered local defense for each state. However, the Federal government does nothing but harrass the militias, frame their leaders, and paint them as crazies.

Some people say, what's the big deal about the Federal government being in charge? The problem is that the government seems to have its own agenda lately, and many people are concerned that there is a group of people trying to use trickery to steer our government in an unhealthy direction. This is sort of an unspoken war that has gone on for some time, and the southern states seem to be pretty keen to this (if to nothing else). You have federal education telling you what can go in your schoolbooks, you have Obamacare and other programs telling you what benefits you have to provide, and how you have to provide them. The more "legitimate" the idea of a single government is, the more drowned out are the legitimate voices of those who are concerned, and the southern states are being squeezed. It is not simply a matter of those states being uncultured and uneducated, as it is frequently painted in the media.

Fear- Yes, they don't like Obama's policies and fear what he may do to the country, their is nothing wrong with it.

Sore losers- No? How are they sore losers? They didn't like Obama or his policies before and they don't like them now.

Since there have been enough signatures from ALL states THAT should say a lot about how the public at large feels about our clown-in-chief and his sycophants.

Let me remind you of the first amendment to our constitution, especially the last eight words. That amendment prohibits the congress from outlawing our right to demand the congress to remedy a wrongful situation.

We *do* have the right to petition for a secession from the U.S.A. and it is NOT treason to do so. You just may want to get out your dictionary and look up the definition of that word.

It is a form of a tantrum. Also treason.

Secession petitions are good PR but bad politics. There is a way for states to legally and politically secede from the American union but it must be a state-by-state process established by constitutional secession conventions in each state.
