What would your ideal candidate be?
If you could just make up your perfect presidential candidate for the 2016 election, what would it be? Man or woman, gay or straight, pro-choice or life, raise or lower taxes, anything.

My ideal candidate would initiate a flat tax and get rid of the IRS. He/she would also support the following... Companies should be offered better incentives for keeping their factories in the United States. He/she would propose better mass transit in large urban areas, perhaps modeled after the European train system. Gun laws would be stricter, including waiting periods and background checks. There would be a unilateral ban on abortion after 12 weeks except for cases of rape, incest or endangerment to the life of the mother. Health insurance companies should be able to cross state lines, becoming more competitive. Babies born to illegal citizens would no longer be given automatic citizenship. Marijuana should be legalized and taxed. School systems should be turned over to private business and made competitive. Anyone receiving welfare benefits who is physically/mentally able should be given community service. The court system should do away with the death penalty except in cases of terrorism, child murder, mass murder or murder of a police officer. Term limits of three terms should be in force for anyone serving in a state or federal political office. Medicare should be privatized and medicare fraud should carry automatic jail time. The Cuban embargo should be lifted.
I don't have a preference for a male or female, a specific ethnicity, age or political party.

Neither of the 2 that are running. Of the 2, Obama is the better choice. It'd take an idiot to not recognize that Hillary is simply trying to be the first woman president. She has only a personal agenda and cares nothing about us everyday Americans that are hurting. Romney was right, Washington is broken and there's not a candidate running that can solve it. What I'd I'd love to see is a 2 term limit for all political offices, (house & senate as well) and get rid of them having their salary for life once they leave office. What a drain on us taxpayers, they are royally screwing us over. I hate them all.

There is no "perfect" presidential candidate. But the closest you can get is one who recognizes what the real issues are (none of these squirrel issues like gay marriage, abortion, what are the tax rates, etc.) and how to solve the real problems our country is facing (widespread fraud in the financial system, medical costs posing to swamp everyone's budgets, and the combined issue of energy and defense).

Rand Paul.
Has to be straight, don't care if it's a woman or a guy, pro-life, low taxes, regulations, and overall small government.
