Looking to get some semi-aggressive fish?
Im getting a new 130 litre fish tank this week and once it has finished cycling i will be looking to buy some semi-aggressive tropical fish or atleast fish that can live in the tank unharmed with semi aggressive fish. I have owned tropical fish before but mostly guppies, neon tetras, danios etc. I was looking to get some fish with a bit more personality for this tank.
Im considering maybe
Angelfish
Gourami
Clown Loaches
Pleco
Do you think these fish will mix or have better suggestions? Im not really looking to buy cichlids.

130L isn't really big enough for clown loaches.
You could only get a bristlenose pleco but they are peaceful.
You could have a single angel or one of the smaller gouramis, dwarf gourami maybe - they have great personalities..
Tiger barbs are semi aggressive and you get 3 colour morphs which you can mix.
They would fin nip an angel though.
What about a Kribensis? Although it's a cichlid.
Black/Gold-skirt Tetra are an alternative to tiger barbs and may give you a bigger range of tankmates to chose from.
Red tail sharks need a 3 ft tank but they are semi aggressive and would be fine with the tiger barbs.
You would need to look into a top dwelling fish that stays small enough for your tank but would hold it's own against the tiger barbs.
Try badman's tropical fish forum.
Good luck.

Barbs, Gouramis, Sharks, Eels, and Loaches. Tiger Barbs and Tinfoil Barbs, plus Blue, Gold, and Opaline Gouramis, plus Bala Sharks, purple Tail Sharks, Rainbow Sharks, and White Tip Sharks. These fish are mildly aggressive and suitable with each different. They will grow fast and want at the least a 29-gallon aquarium with heat water. Finally they are going to desire a so much greater aquarium. New World Cichlids. Firemouth, Convict, crimson Convict, Texas Cichlid, Jack Dempsey and other New World Cichlids are very aggressive fish. But many aquarists experience watching them dig, shield their territories, and take care of little one fish. Giant Plecostomus Catfish, Synodontis Catfish, and White Tip Sharks are typically suitable with New World Cichlids. Inside a 12 months or so a group of those fish will need an aquarium with at the least 50-gallons of heat water. Ultimately these fish will want an excellent bigger aquarium.

You don't want cichlids, but then have angels listed? Angels are cichlids. If you don't want cichldis, don't get angels then. If you just meant the bigger cichlids, then there are many cichlids similar to the angel you might like, such as keyhole cichlids, flag cichlids, etc. There are also small and more peaceful cichlids like apistogramma, rams, and kribs.
If you wanted something like an angel as far as cichlids, the Keyhole cichlids stay smaller than the angelfish, and a pair would not be terrible for that size tank, although a 150 liter is a little better

The tank is a bit small for one or two angelfish and much too small for any number greater than that. Really, a 190 liter tank is a better choice for even a pair of angels.
On the gourami, there are many to chose from. Just stay away from the larger species (no kissing gourami).
The clown loaches are absolutely too large of a fish to be kept in that size tank. Maybe consider some thing like a skunk (4 inches), dario (6 inches), or Angelicus (5-6 inches) which get only about 4-6 inches, instead of a clown loach which gets over a foot long!
And as far as pleco, stick with a smaller species, like a bristlenose.

Clown loaches get to 12 chunky inches each and need to be in shoals of no less than 5. So they will eventually need 100-200 gallons.
Angels do much better in at least a 55 gallon = 208 liters. and you can not keep the with gourami.
what you might try is
2 pearl gourami - these are more peacefull than most gourami but you could get one of a different species instead like opaline, with caution.
and a dwarf pleco
and a shoal of 5 smaller loaches, zebra loaches , polka dots, zodiac, banded, evan yoyo loaches could work and many others that stay smaller.
I recently added a golden wonder killi fish to my tank, they are semi aggressive and should not be in a tank with any fish smaller than their heads , because they can swollow them. But so far he has been a fine with my pearl gouramis, rainbow fish and loaches. and he has a lot of personality.

1 Angel fish would stock that size tank .
You could keep Gourami but not with an Angel fish .
Clown loach are to big for your tank and they are not semi aggressive they are very laid back .
A bristle nose pleco would be ok in that size tank .
Why not look at a pair of Rams some tetras and some corys .
